I never always had the body to run. I never always had the energy to do so either. But here I am after a 5k run enjoying that just worked out feeling.
It’s late in the evening and all you want to do is snuggle on the sofa. So what drags me out? I dont aim to run the whole way. My aim is to simply get out. No matter how horrible my day has been. Getting out has always made me feel better about everything!
To some 5k is a massive feet. To others its simple. We all have our own paths and our own bodies. Don’t compare yourself to others. Compare yourself to who you want to be. Are you there? If not take little steps. I’m a long way from who I want to be but i’m tackling each day at a time with small positive steps forward.
Why run in the evening? Here, this is why I run when no one is around
The beauty and calm. People can be so toxic and draining. It’s just so relaxing and centering here.
So next time someone asks “why do you run?” I shall respond with “why don’t you?’
